Gale Hartley came to BB News from regional weather in the North, where he was, by his own account, "the only presenter in Yorkshire with a jaw". He has never quite believed he belongs among the others, and oversells every cloud to make sure nobody mogs him off air.
He reports every front as an invasion. Atlantic rain is "migrant weather"; storms named in Portugal "weren't even named here". Every arrow on his map points at Kent.
His hair has not moved in any wind since 2019. Meteorologists have described this as "not possible". Gale describes it as "product".
