Rex Mandible joined BB News as a regional weatherman and left the weather behind after what he calls "the lockdown realisation": that every story is, at heart, about bone structure.

He has anchored Mandible at Six since the channel launched, and fronts every BREAKING segment personally. Colleagues say he treats the autocue as a personal enemy and pauses after each headline so that his profile can do the work.

He has reported live from the white cliffs of Dover more times than any other presenter, most recently with a net.
